My first post…
I remember waaaaaay back in 2004 when I first heard about blogs. I didn’t know what they were… but I wanted to post one. So, using myspace, I created my first blog… and in it I ranted about ‘what is a blog?’ and also about ‘how I would not buy an HDTV until they had the Food Network and CSPAN2 available in hi-def’… obviously I was trying to be funny.
Years later I find myself watching the Food Network HD with my wife for several hours week… and Ina looks great
Although I am still waiting for CSPAN to come around, it is amazing how much has changed in the last 5 years….
I have graduated from OSU with a BS degree in Biology. I started my own photography business. I fell in love with a lovely woman, Lyndsey. I had my dog Turk die. I welcomed a new dog ‘Mc’ into my life to fill the hole that Turk left behind. I got a full time job as a photo stylist at A&F’s headquarters. I got engaged (to that lovely woman). I bought a house. This May I got married.
Life rolls on… and really quickly.
This blog will be a place to hear from me about what is bouncing around in my head, and it will be a place to see things that I am shooting. It is hard for me to keep my website up to date, so I figured this would be an easier way to go about keeping the public in touch with what I am working on.
I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to post any comments you might have!
Along with the weddings, and personal projects I am shooting, I will also be sharing films that I am working on (yeah I know i’m not shooting with film, but video makes it sound like something your mom shot on her 1980s camcorder).
I am not sure where God is leading me, but I have a strong pull towards cinematography. I find myself learning a lot about composition, form, and lighting with the weddings I shoot. Hopefully I will be able to take the eye that I have developed and use it for ‘movin’ pictures one day.
I can’t wait to look back to this point 5 years from now, and see how much has changed.
It’s going to be a wild ride
Here is to the next 5 years……

Wow! How was I not aware that you had a blog? Don't answer that. Very Impressive! Very Cool!
